starts next to the picturesque Byzantine church of Agios Antonios, where
there is a spring with potable water and ends near Panagia Faneromeni
in Cherrasia.
The canyon has dense vegetation with perennial plane

In
the very first steps of our journey we find the Byzantine churches of
St. John the Baptist and Saint Anthony, and two watermills that were
previously used for milling. After 500m, we meet the historic Sinai
monastery of Panagia Spiliotissa, from where the name of the gorge takes
its name. After a short tour of the small monastery with the cavernous
temple, we continue our journey into the heart of the lush gorge, as the
Holy Kingdom. From there we can go back to Houdetsi and relax in one of
the village taverns.
